Firefox caches images and web files and saves cookies (small text files stored on your device with preferences and other data for a specific site) from every website you visit, regardless of whether you use the browser on Windows 11, 10, or another operating system. This helps to speed up page loading times when you return to the site.
Cache data and cookies don’t always function flawlessly, though, and occasionally they might make it difficult for websites to load properly in Firefox. In certain situations, emptying the cache and cookies might resolve the issue.
The methods for clearing the cache and cookies in Firefox on Windows 11, 10, and almost any other operating system that the browser supports are covered in this guide.
Clear cache and cookies on Firefox
Use these procedures to delete Firefox’s cookies and cache:
Mozilla on Windows 11.
Select Settings by clicking on the main menu button located in the upper-right corner.
On Privacy & Security, click.
To access Firefox’s cache data, click the Clear history option under the History section.
To erase all of Firefox’s cache data, choose the Everything option under Time range to clear (which is advised).
Examine the Cookies and Cache choices under the History section.
To preserve any data in the browser, clear it. For example, Site Settings, Form & Search History, Active Logins, Browsing & Download History, and Offline Website Data.
To remove Firefox’s cache, click the OK button.
After completing the procedures, Firefox’s cache and cookies will be erased, allowing websites to load properly but with a noticeably slower loading time. This is to be expected since Mozilla Firefox needs to cache the data once more. You might also need to log in to some of your online services again after removing your cookies.
