Windows 11 build 25324 is being made available by Microsoft to PCs that are part of the Windows Insider Program’s Canary Channel. Despite being a little update, it has a number of enhancements and new features.
According to the official updates, Windows 11 build 25324 has a revamped Widgets board with three columns that emphasizes isolating the widgets from the news feed. To give details on the system’s USB4 capabilities and connected suitable peripherals, a new USB4 hubs and Devices settings page is added to the Settings app. Additionally, this flight adds support for SHA-3, enhances Microsoft Defender SmartScreen’s Enhanced Phishing Protection, and implements a number of other enhancements.

The most recent version of Windows 11 in the Canary Channel has all of the following new features and enhancements:
New Widgets board design
In order to help users distinguish between the widgets and news feed, Windows 11 includes a revamped Widgets board with three columns starting with build 25324.
Additionally, you will see a new notification when you hover or click the Widgets icon in the Taskbar itself.
New USB4 Hubs and Devices settings

Troubleshooter settings changes
Because the firm is devaluing the legacy tool, several Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool (MSDT) and MSDT Troubleshooters are now being diverted to the troubleshooters found under Settings>System>Troubleshoot.
Sign-in options settings
You may now choose your favorite camera under Settings>Accounts>Sign-in Options if you have more than one camera that supports Windows Hello.
Password security enhancements
The Microsoft Defender solution includes Enhanced Phishing Protection, which is incorporated into Windows 11 22H2. In this version, the company is experimenting with a change that would display an interface warning when someone copies and pastes an unsafe password in the same manner that you see when they type in their password.
SHA-3 support
The SHA-3 family of hash functions and SHA-3 derivative functions (SHAKE, cSHAKE, and KMAC) are supported by Windows 11 build 25324. The most recent specified hash functions from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) are the SHA-3 family of algorithms.
The Windows CNG library has enabled support for following features:
- Supported SHA-3 hash functions: SHA3-256, SHA3-384, SHA3-512 (SHA3-224 is not supported)
- Supported SHA-3 HMAC algorithms: HMAC-SHA3-256, HMAC-SHA3-384, HMAC-SHA3-512
- Supported SHA-3 derived algorithms: extendable-output functions (XOF) (SHAKE128, SHAKE256), customizable XOFs (cSHAKE128, cSHAKE256), and KMAC (KMAC128, KMAC256, KMACXOF128, KMACXOF256).
File Explorer improvements
There aren’t any major changes in File Explorer, but the Windows team did make some adjustments that should help the calculation phase run better when sending a lot of files to the recycle bin at once in File Explorer.
Taskbar
You will now notice a Bing button in the Windows search box and homepage to access the chatbot with Microsoft Edge if you have access to the new Bing Chat AI.
Input
Lastly, in order to support GB18030-2022, Windows 11 is also updating the Microsoft Pinyin IME and simplified Chinese typefaces. Beginning with this edition, Microsoft Yahei, Simsun, and Dengxian have been included, allowing you to enter and show characters from conformance levels 1 or 2. Our Simsun Ext-B font now supports Unicode Extensions E and F in order to satisfy level 3 standards.
Install build 25324
To download and install Windows 11 build 25324, use the Windows Insider Program settings from the Windows Update section to enroll your device in the Canary Channel.
You can get build 25324 from the Windows Update settings by clicking the Check for Updates button after enrolling the computer in the program. If you are new to the Windows Insider Program, however, you will need a device that satisfies the minimal system requirements in order to receive the update.
Update March 24, 2023: Microsoft is sending testers build 25314.1011, which is update KB5025849, but it doesn’t contain any new features. Its sole purpose is to test the pipeline for service.
