Windows 11 now shows Wi-Fi passwords in Settings

A new feature in Windows 11 is the ability to view saved Wi-Fi passwords from the Settings app. Although users have long been able to locate their wireless network passwords, doing so has required visiting the outdated Control Panel or utilizing PowerShell or Command Prompt instructions. However, the Settings app now offers this option.

Windows 11 is introducing a newView Wi-Fi security key option in the settings page for a specific network saved on the device, starting with build 23466 in the Dev Channel. You must select one of the saved networks, click the View button to view the Wi-Fi security keysetting, and then access Settings>Network & internet>Wi-Fi>Manage known networks if you ever need to view a saved wireless network.

Compared to opening the Network Connections page in the Control Panel and searching through the Windows Properties settings or using the netch wlan command with PowerShell or Command Prompt, this is a far simpler procedure.

This is another feature that Microsoft may aim to include in the release of Windows 11 23H2, along with the new ability to force quit apps from the Taskbar without opening the Task Manager, since it is now accessible in the most recent Dev Channel preview of Windows 11.
