Google will unveil Bard, the solution to ChatGPT, at a press conference on February 8 at 8:30 AM ET. This event will be broadcast on YouTube, in contrast to the Microsoft event on February 7.
Google’s official statement characterizes the project as an experimental conversational AI that provides replies in a conversational fashion, utilizing the company’s Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA). Additionally, the business claims that although a small group of people can already use the technology, Bard will make it more widely available in the upcoming weeks.
The release says that the chatbot would assist children understand complex subjects like NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope and encourage creativity and curiosity, even though it is unclear how the chatbot operates.
Additionally, the business claims that Bard will employ online resources to deliver original and superior responses.
It is not expected that the responses will always be correct because Bard, ChatGPT, and related technologies are still in their early stages of development. Google even claims that in order to make the Bard replies more accurate and secure over time, it would employ both internal testing and external input.
Google is hardly the first company to incorporate AI into its products. For instance, the corporation has been using this technology for many years to answer inquiries and summarize search results without ever opening a web page.
Although Bard will likely be the main topic of discussion at the event on February 8, there will be other discussions about AI as well.
