You can quickly change your device’s volume on Windows 10. The speaker icon in the notification section and the volume controls on the side of your device can be used for this. The only catch is that you would only be changing the master volume if you choose this option. The procedures are different if you wish to change the sounds of the system or a specific app.
Previously, you would use the Volume Mixer experience; however, the most recent version of Windows 10 incorporates the sophisticated sound controls inside the controls app.
This post will show you how to change the volume of a particular Windows 10 app or system sound.
Adjust sound for a specific app on Windows 10
On Windows 10, follow these steps to adjust the volume for a single app:
Open Windows 10’s settings.
Select “System.”
Select “Sound.”
Click the “App volume and device preferences” option under “Other sound options.”
You can change the app’s volume level in the App section.
The program will use the same sound level in proportion to the master volume when you finish the steps.
It is important to remember that the App volume and device preference page allows you to modify the input and output sources for your system and apps separately. You can also use the Reset option to go back to the original configuration.
As an alternative, you can use the Volume Mixer to accomplish the same thing by right-clicking the speaker icon from the notification area. However, because Windows 10 will completely fade the Control Panel, the Settings app is the suggested solution.
