For devices that are part of the Windows Insider Program’s Dev Channel, Microsoft is currently releasing Windows 11 build 23424. Despite being a modest update, it has several intriguing new features, repairs, and enhancements.
According to the official updates, Windows 11 build 23424 has a revamped Widgets board with three columns that emphasizes isolating the widgets from the news feed. Laptops, convertibles, and desktop computers can now use the Content Adaptive Brightness Control function. The Wheel page is updated to conform to the operating system’s design language, and the Settings app adds a new update option for testers.

The Dev Channel’s most recent version of Windows 11 has the following enhancements and new features:
New Widgets board design
In order to help users distinguish between the widgets and news feed, Windows 11 includes a revamped Widgets board with three columns starting with build 23424.
Content Adaptive Brightness Control (CABC)
Beginning with this release, Windows 11 will enable the Content Adaptive Brightness Control feature to function on desktop computers and laptops and convertibles that are connected to a charger.
From the Display settings page (in the Brightness & Color section), you can modify the feature by selecting one of the following options: Off, Always, or On Battery Only.
Windows Update settings

Wheel settings
Additionally, the Wheel page’s Bluetooth & Devices section, which contains the settings for gadgets like the Surface Dial, adheres to the new design language of Windows 11.

Numerous updates and enhancements for the Taskbar, Input, Settings, File Explorer, and other areas are also included in this flight.
File Explorer
- Fixed the following issues for Insiders with recommended files in File Explorer.
- Fixed the issue causing an error dialog to pop up when clicking on the Open File Location command.
- Fixed the issue causing no action to occur when clicking on the Remove from list command.
Settings
- Improved the performance of search within Settings.
Windowing
- Fixed an issue from the last flight where Microsoft Edge tabs would show when doing ALT + Tab even if Settings > System > Multitasking was set to Don t show tabs .
Input
- Improved performance when using a high report rate mouse while gaming.
Task Manager
- Fixed an issue where the search icon could end up overlapping the Task Manager icon in the title bar.
Other changes
- Fixed an issue that was causing voice access to take some time to turn on after using the wake-up command.
There are also documented problems with the Taskbar, Live Captions, and File Explorer with this edition.
Additionally, a new version of the Microsoft Store app is released with Windows 11 build 23424, which includes a new interface for the in-app rating dialog, a new design for app and game purchases, and the ability to install free apps and games from search results.
